About two weeks ago, my (first) daughter was born. Needless to say this has been a great moment of joy for us! I will be taking an extended period of parental leave (which will then seamlessly merge into my summer holidays), with the exception of the period July 5-July 16, where I’ll be attending, at least part-time, Cosmology from Home 2021 (too good to miss, given how amazing the 2020 edition was!).
During the period, I’ll pause my blog, and the very little amount of physics I’ll be doing (when not trying to catch up on sleep) will mostly be related to writing the proposal for my Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship application and preparing for a faculty interview. I will resume my blog when I am back to work full-time towards the end of the summer (probably in the second half of August, although hard to give an exact date at the moment).
To my regular readers: many apologies for having disappeared over the last month and a half! As you may now have guessed, this was related to the final stages of our pregnancy, where several problems appeared which kept us extremely busy, making it so that I had very little time to devote to work (and at very low efficiency). Things seem to be fine now, so you can look forward to this blog resuming towards the end of the summer. Until then, do have a nice summer, and “see” you soon!
