My paper with Tom O'Shea, Anne Davis, Maurizio Giannotti, Luca Visinelli, and Julia Vogel, where we revisited the issue of production of Solar chameleons (see this earlier news item), has been accepted for publication in PRD! Minor revisions compared to the previous version include a rough estimate of how much the CAST bound on the chameleon-photon coupling changes accounting for the production channels we studied.
